Fire Station #91 stormwater pipe repair resumes Sept. 20-28, will involve intermittent street and parking lot closures

Repairs to a stormwater pipe at Fayetteville Fire Station #91 on Johnson Avenue are scheduled to resume Sept. 20-28, which will involve intermittent closures of the adjacent parking lot as well as that portion of Johnson Avenue stretching between Lee Street and Glynn Street (Hwy. 85).

The adjacent portion of Johnson Avenue will likely be closed during working hours Monday through Friday, Sept. 24-28.

Horton Construction is doing the work, and they have released the following schedule they hope to follow:

Thursday, Sept. 20, begin work under the east side parking lot (parking lot will be closed);

Friday, Sept. 21, continue work under east side parking lot (parking lot will remain closed);

Monday, Sept. 24, complete work under east side parking lot (parking lot will remain closed until end of work that day); also begin work in front of fire station (adjacent portion of Johnson Avenue to be closed during work hours);

Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 25-28, continue work in front of fire station (adjacent portion of Johnson Avenue to be closed during work hours).
