City of Fayetteville announces 2019 Pencil Art Contest
The City of Fayetteville Finance Department has announced its second-annual art contest aimed at highlighting the city’s beautiful vistas. Last year, it was photography. This year, it’s pencil art.
The 2019 Pencil Art Contest will showcase local artists who put colored pencils to paper and canvas depicting a favorite icon found within the City of Fayetteville. The work of nine finalists will be displayed at Fayetteville City Hall for a year, and three of those will be named the first-, second-, and third-place winners.
A special evening reception will be held at City Hall on October 17 in honor of all who participate. The winners and other finalists will be announced that evening.
The deadline to submit an entry is Monday, September 16, 2019 by 5 p.m. Please see the official contest rules for complete details.
