Fayetteville Master Path Plan

City approves Master Path Plan to connect community with sidewalks, paths and trails

City Council members voted unanimously Aug. 1, 2019 to approve the City of Fayetteville Master Path Plan, which helps identify projects that will facilitate and promote interconnectivity between existing and proposed developments and encourages the use of alternate transportation.

The City’s next steps are to incorporate the components of the plan into the City’s ordinances, Capital Improvements Element and other documents, which will help the City pursue construction and funding through developer contributions, impact fees, grants, and other mechanisms. The City’s path system will be designed to link with the Fayette County path system.
