The Great Pumpkin Festival

October 25, 2019 @ 8:00 am – October 27, 2019 @ 11:30 pm
Old Fayette County Courthouse Lawn
200 Courthouse Square
GA 30214

The Great Pumpkin Festival begins early on Friday, October 25, as schools and other community groups bring decorated pumpkins to line the sidewalks at the Historic Fayette County Courthouse in Downtown Fayetteville. Judges will award prizes in various categories of displayed pumpkins at 1 p.m. that day.

Throughout the weekend, guests enjoy self-guided tours of the Courthouse grounds and are encouraged to enjoy dining and shopping while they are on the Courthouse Square.

The culmination of the festival happens Saturday evening, 5 to 8, as we enjoy live music, face painting, rock painting, sand art, balloon shaping, inflatables and games! We will have the traditional costume contest, of course for kids 13 and under, plus the Trick or Treat Village. Admission and most attractions are free. Informational and retail vendors will also be on hand as well as a food truck!

While there are no scheduled special activities on Sunday, October 27, the pumpkins will still be displayed around the Courthouse, and the community is encouraged to take a stroll around.

Pumpkin artists will retrieve their creations beginning Monday, October 28, and no later than Wednesday, October 30.
