Fayetteville City Hall is going pink on Friday, October 18, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
It’s Pink Out Day, and the fun includes a pink carpet in the City Hall lobby that will lead you to a pink selfie backdrop for City personnel and guests alike. Pink refreshments will be served by City Hall staffers, who will also be wearing pink.
“This is going to be a lot of fun,” said Assistant Finance Director Carleetha Talmadge, who is helping organize this year’s event. “Most of us have been affected by breast cancer, whether personally or by caring for someone who is living with it, survived it or lost their battle to it. We want to remind women and men to do self-checks and ladies please get your mammograms and stay healthy.”
Photos from the event will be posted on social media with #PinkOutFayetteville.
