Downtown Gazebo replacement begins Wednesday, May 1

Demolition of the iconic Lane Brown Gazebo in Downtown Fayetteville is set to begin around midday on Wednesday, May 1, to make way for a brand-new gazebo that will take its place on the Courthouse Square landscape.

The current Gazebo was built in the 1990s and has been repaired numerous times. Fayetteville Downtown Development Director Brian Wismer says the City wants to keep a gazebo structure as part of the Courthouse Square experience, and building a new one will be a better option for the future than continually making repairs to the old one.
