Rich Hoffman took office in January 2018. He has been a Fayette County resident since 1974 and a Fayetteville resident since 1979.
A New Jersey native, Hoffman graduated from Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, New Jersey and attended St. John’s University Queens in Long Island, New York. He and his wife Sarah Murphy have been married since 1981. He has one son and one grandson living in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Hoffman says Fayetteville’s small-town feel and its relative location to Atlanta made it a desirable place for him to call home. He says it is a comfortable place to raise a family with its great schools, low crime rates and strong family values.
