We are celebrating Georgia Cities Week here in Fayetteville April 22-28, and we want YOU to get “In the Spotlight”

This year, we’re bringing back the popular Shred and Electronics Recycling Day, we will hold a Red Cross Blood Drive, hold a Town Hall Meeting (dates/times TBA), a scavenger hunt or trivia event, announce the winners for the City photo contest, and on Saturday a city clean-up day to make Fayetteville look even more beautiful. The day will end with another fun Church Street Park event.

Yes, we know April 22-28 is more than just a week, but we are also including this year’s first Lunch on the Lawn, Friday, April 27 on the Old Fayette County Courthouse lawn.

The theme for this year’s Georgia Cities Week is “Cities in the Spotlight”, which highlights the role cities like Fayetteville play in the lives of their residents. We also know we have many residents who love to be directly involved in many city activities and events, so we are offering volunteer opportunities for you to get involved with this year’s Georgia Cities Week.

If you are interested in volunteering, or if you want more information about Georgia Cities Week, call Deputy City Clerk Valerie Glass at 770-719-4144.
