[ARCHIVED] City adopts new five-year Comprehensive Plan

City of Fayetteville Comprehensive Plan Update 2022

The Fayetteville City Council has adopted the Comprehensive Plan 2022 Update, which is an important guidance document based on a vision for future growth and development within the City of Fayetteville. The plan addresses land use, housing, economic development, transportation, parks and recreation, and natural resources, with a strong focus on how land is used, developed, and/or conserved.

The City’s current Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 2017 and since that time, Fayetteville has experienced signifi cant population growth and economic development. The 2022 Update builds on the previous plan and provides a fi ve-year update as required by Georgia’s local planning rules centered around reevaluating key elements.

A downloadable version of the Comprehensive Plan 2022 Update (PDF) is available by clicking here.

Further updates to the Comprehensive Plan will be made to accommodate the City’s new Unified Development Ordinance, which is expected to be adopted in the coming months.
