If you reside within the City Limits of Fayetteville, you will need to start utility services for the following: water, sewer, sanitation, and/or stormwater. If you are operating a business within the City Limits of Fayetteville and you are responsible for paying for the water, sewer, and/or stormwater services, you will need to also apply for a business license.

Application for service must be applied for in-person or by returning the complete application via email. 

• Application for service required documentation, and applicable payment of fees must be completed a minimum of three (3) days prior to establishing service. If the complete application is not received in our office before 12:00 pm on the day of your desired established date, your application will not be processed until the next business day. 
• Applications will not be processed after 4:30 pm. 
• A non-refundable processing fee must be paid at the time of application or it will be applied to the first month's bill. 
• Any outstanding bills must be paid prior to activation of service.

Billing Policies and Due Date

City of Fayetteville Customer Service Department bills for its services on a monthly basis for the arrears (previous month) usage. The billing date is determined by your location within our service area. Due dates are not adjustable. Routes are the first 2 numbers of your account numbers:

• Cycle 1: Routes 01 - 04 are due on the 26th of every month
• Cycle 3: Routes 05 - 08 are due on the 4th of every month
• Cycle 5: Routes 09 - 12 are due on the 10th of every month
• Cycle 7: Routes 13 - 16 are due on the 20th of every month
• Cycle 9: Routes 17 - 18 are due on the 20th of every month
